Interpreters to Understand Your Attorney now Financed by Legal Aid
The OLGOberlandesgericht [City] (Higher Regional Court in civil and criminal matters) Celle decided on April 5, 2005 (re: 22 W 12/05) that the costs of interpreters during detention pending expulsion are to be covered by granted legal aid in so far as they are necessary and appropriate for the foreigner to communicate with his or her attorney. If the case for the expulsion of the foreigner to his or her home country is successful, the prerequisites for legal aid must proven anew. Referring to previously submitted documents is usually not sufficient.
